玄牝 ゲンビン
玄とは奥深い混沌した色、赤みがかった黒。
闇の中に灯明のように光る赤色と読みたい。
老子は言う。
玄牝とは、衆妙の門、即ち生命の誕生するところ。女性の性器である。

窠 カ
穴の中にある鳥獣の巣、生き物の蠢く巣穴、混沌とした場所、
イメージの沸く空間である。

洞 ウロ
古木にある穴、暗い空間、
時に鳥獣の喰となる生き物の置かれるところである。
水上勉『金閣炎上』の中のトビが半殺しにした喰をためておく穴でもある。

壙 コウ
焼場、使い古された白壁の白い穴である。
曼珠沙華の咲く、人里離れた野原の中にある。
祖母によく聞かされた。「この世の花ではない、毒になる触れるな」と。

Gen is a deep and chaotic color. Reddish black. Red shining like a votive light in the dark. Lao-tse states that gen-bin is a gate of profound principle, that is, a place where lives are born. A vagina of woman.

Ka is a nest of beast or bird in a hollow. A nest where creatures are wriggling.
A chaotic place from which images are springing.

洞 uro
Uro is a hollow in a trunk of an old tree. A dark place where are laid creatures as preys for beasts and raptorial birds. A hollow where a black kite uses to save half-dead preys, which is described in the novel “Kinkaku Enjou”（『金閣炎上』）by Tsutomu Mizukami.

Kou is a place where dead bodies are burned. An outworn white hole made of pale walls. It is located in a field distant from villages, where red spider lilies bloom. Grandmother used to say to me,“They are not flowers belonging to this world, It is poisonous, so never touch them.”

I have been familiar with these words like gen-bin, ka, uro and kou for a long time. They are the sources of my imagery.
